The 53-year-old Heart Radio presenter announced this morning in a heartfelt statement that he has been diagnosed with Stage 1 Laryngeal Cancer.
Taking to Instagram, Theakston told his fans that his prognosis is “very positive” and is hoping “to be back with Heart in October”.
