Gabby Logan makes health admission as she details why she’s ’embarrassed’ by behaviour
Gabby Logan opened up about feeling “embarrassed” by her behaviour when she was going through perimenopause at 47.
The 51-year-old TV presenter reflected on her long marriage to former rugby player Kenny, with whom she shares 19-year-old twins, Reuben and Lois.
Logan dropped a bombshell admission as she reflected on becoming “shouty” after suffering from the medical condition.
Detailing how going through perimenopause had changed her, she admitted Kenny was unable to recognise the “mellow” person she normally is.
“Now I look back and think, ‘Oh, that’s why I was like that,” she told MailOnline.
Logan didn’t realise at the time that the menopause was the reason for her changing behaviour and told the publication: “I just felt like I was getting really ratty about stuff, really quickly, that previously wouldn’t have bothered me.
“And obviously there’s a perfect storm, because you’ve got teenagers who can be quite annoying, and then you’ve got mum whose attention and whose temper is, you know, on a thread.
“I look back now and think, ‘Oh, I really shouldn’t have shouted about that. I shouldn’t have got upset about that. But it’s easy to kind of, I think, at the time, to think that that’s just the state you’re in.'”
The mother-of-two confessed she feels “embarrassed” when she looks back at that time now but added she is “so much calmer now”.
Logan keeps her marriage somewhat private from the public eye but recently shared a family milestone.
Last month, Logan shared the moment she found out that her husband, daughter and son had made her dreams come true. shared the moment she found out that her husband, daughter and son had made her dreams come true.
Sharing the video alongside a series of images of Maverick the dog, Logan penned: “@loislogansj sent this to our family WhatsApp tonight.
“Excuse the dressing gown and ugly crying in the film here …..it’s the morning of my 50th birthday (18 months ago) and I was told to wait until I had opened all my presents before I opened this specific card.
“I was secretly worried @kennylogan11 had bought me a sports car, was this a picture of a fast (midlife cliche) car I didn’t want? But no I was thankfully very wrong, they’d bought me a standard poodle.

“Then she had a card made which was a hologram picture of 5-week-old Maverick coming out of a gift box. She wrote the most beautiful words inside the card (from all of them). And I was overwhelmed.”
