ITV I’m A Celebrity fans fume as Ant and Dec confirm double elimination: ‘Are you joking?’
I’m A Celebrity’s latest episode saw two stars eliminated in a shock double vote-off.
Former Love Island star Maura Higgins and ex boxer Barry McGuigan became the fifth and sixth celebrities to leave the show.
The two were tantalisingly close to making the final, but were voted out on Thursday.
As hosts Ant and Dec revealed the votes, the camp seemed stunned as they confirmed both stars would be making their exit.
In his interview, McGuigan, 63, spoke fondly of all his campmates, particularly McFly star Danny Jones, whom he said he’s become like a father too.
He also revealed he’d like to see the 38-year-old crowned the winner of the series.
Higgins, 34, also beamed as she looked back at her time on the show.
“I said it yesterday, I felt it was my time to go,” the reality star admitted, seeming unfazed by the elimination.
She also admitted she would be leaving a changed woman, explaining it’s surprising how much the experience leaves an impact.
However, fans were left fuming at the result, particularly with the reality star not making it to the final.
Taking to social media, many raged about how Higgins had been “robbed”.
“MAURA EVICTED? ARE YOU F***ING JOKING ME? #ImACeleb,” one asked.
“WHATTT why Maura, she should have been in the final #ImACeleb,” another complained.
A third penned: “I’m sad about Maura. sad for Barry too but I was finding him a bit boring. Maura will be a real loss from the camp #imaceleb.”
“ROBBED #ImACeleb,” another simply wrote, with a fifth adding: “There’s no way it’s barry and maura….. i’m sorry?!?!?! #ImaCeleb.”

While nobody left on Wednesday’s show, Radio 1 star Melvin Odoom was the fourth celebrity to leave on Tuesday.
It came as the campmates had enjoyed a special night at The Jungle Arms, which saw them enjoying some drinks and a karaoke session.
However, someone still had to leave camp, and the celebrities were stunned as Odoom, 44, was confirmed to have received the fewest public votes.
In typical Odoom fashion, he made his departure in good spirits, asking hosts Ant and Dec if anyone else had been “so happy” to leave.
“The best thing about that camp is the people,” he told Geordie duo Ant and Dec during his chat with them.
