Coleen Rooney makes rare admission over ITV I’m A Celebrity update: ‘I’m gutted’
Coleen Rooney has impressed I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here viewers with her determination and positivity over the last couple of weeks, but the latest episode saw her admitting she’d been left upset.
It came on Friday’s instalment as the camp took in the news that Barry McGuigan and Maura Higgins had become the latest to leave the jungle.
Rooney, 38, has succeeded in conquering several gruelling trials during her time on I’m A Celebrity, and also impressed fans when she “worked out” an early twist the others hadn’t spotted.
Former campmates such as Melvin Odoom has branded the TV personality as “really strong,” adding she “hasn’t shed a tear once.”
However, Rooney confessed she was “gutted” as Love Island star Higgins and former boxer McGuigan were voted off the show.
Friday’s instalment saw the campmates all waking up the day prior, ahead of the news.
After Ant and Dec made the announcement, the two famous faces said their goodbyes to their co-stars.
“I’m gutted,” Rooney announced. “Two big personalities, they will be truly missed.”
However, they were soon distracted by a camp blunder as the group noticed something burning.
GK Barry ran to the fire as she yelled: “My beans!”
“They’ve gone crispy in there!” McFly star Danny Jones observed, with Barry quipping: “It’s a la carte.”
“A la burnt!” Jones hit back at the social media star.
Last night, fans seemed to share Rooney’s frustrations as they flooded social media with complaints about the two departures.
“MAURA EVICTED? ARE YOU F***ING JOKING ME? #ImACeleb,” one asked.
“WHATTT why Maura, she should have been in the final #ImACeleb,” another complained.
A third penned: “I’m sad about Maura. sad for Barry too but I was finding him a bit boring. Maura will be a real loss from the camp #imaceleb.”
“ROBBED #ImACeleb,” another simply wrote, with a fifth adding: “There’s no way it’s barry and maura….. i’m sorry?!?!?! #ImaCeleb.”
