Maura Higgins leads ITV I’m A Celebrity stars in support of Tulisa amid absence from final as they share sweet gesture
Maura Higgins has joined the likes of Dean McCullough and Oti Mabuse in showing their support for singer Tulisa following Sunday’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! finale.
On Sunday night, Ant and Dec revealed the public had voted for McFly singer and The Voice coach Danny Jones to be crowned this year’s victor.
He saw off Reverend Richard Coles and Coleen Rooney in the finale, with the former finishing third and the latter ending up in second.
ITV has since confirmed that in the vote for the final three, Jones earned a 41.36 percent share of the votes against Rooney’s 33.47 percent and Coles’ 25.18 percent.
And in the head-to-head for the crown, Jones took a 55.21 percent share of the vote against Rooney’s 44.79 percent.
As Sam Thompson arrived to hand over the coveted jungle crown to the McFly singer, Jones was applauded by all but one of his campmates as Tulisa was notably absent having flown home early.
Tulisa had previously admitted she felt “overwhelmed” after coming out of the jungle having spent much of the past few years out of the spotlight.
She also sparked rumours of discontent after seemingly deleting all traces of I’m A Celeb from her Instagram page, although she later revealed she’d archived them for another day.
The 36-year-old also quashed rumours of a feud with her best friend outside the camp and her campmates as well as she decided it was best for her well-being to return home to the UK.
On finale day, Tulisa received support from her campmates when she took to Instagram to reflect on her time on the show for the first time since leaving the jungle.

Alongside a series of images from her time on the show, the singer penned: “Looking back at some of my favourite moments from the @Imacelebrity jungle.
“It’s been a whirlwind. Thank you to @itv for the experience and sending so much love to my Jungle Fam before the final tonight. Sorry I can’t be there to celebrate with you all.”
Fans quickly rushed to praise Tulisa for her conduct in the jungle – including several recognisable faces.
Mabuse shared a series of love heart emojis in response to the post while the aforementioned McCullough penned: “We love you… you are with us in spirit my babe and can’t wait to see you when we get home xxxx.”
King of the Jungle Jones also commented: “The camp big sister we all need,” alongside a love heart emoji.
While Higgins weighed in: “Miss you wanna squeeze you love you,” again, followed by love heart emojis. (sic)

This year’s I’m A Celebrity finale was packed full of talking points besides Tulisa’s absence – but not for all the right reasons.
After Jones was crowned this year’s winner, social media became awash with several differences in opinion.
Some angered viewers even claimed the series had been “fixed from the start” for Jones to win the show.
