Dianne Buswell delivers tearful 5-word statement to Chris McCausland in unheard BBC Strictly moment
Dianne Buswell’s heartfelt statement to her Strictly Come Dancing partner Chris McCausland has been revealed in a sneak peek at hidden mic moments.
The BBC competition, which is concluding this weekend, shared a series of previously unheard moments from last weekend’s semi-final.
Among the emotional compilation, which was captioned: “Double the dancing, double the dancefloor dialogue. Enjoy the #Strictly Semi-final hidden mics,” was a candid moment between Buswell, 35 and comedian partner McCausland, 47.
Following one of their performances, the two share an embrace as the dancer can be heard telling McCausland: “I’m so proud of you… So proud of you”.
The couples all performed two dances in the latest episode, with McCausland and Buswell achieving a score of 33 for their first dance and 36 in the second.
The latter, a Viennese Waltz, impressed the judges and those at home but also left the couple emotional.
The routine ended with a long hug, with the judges touched by the couple’s emotional response.
Giving her feedback, head judge Shirley Ballas noted: “Chris is getting all emotional and that is making us all emotional as well. Oh, Chris.
“From the very, very beginning of the show, who didn’t understand about picking your arms up or where your centre was…
“And to be able to watch you this evening, get your arms up so that you have some spatial awareness where you’re going, some beautiful footwork going on here, and that understanding.
“When she went between your legs it was seamless, up she went, and you picked her up on the other side, it was just stunning. You should be so proud of yourself.”
When it was pointed out Buswell had become emotional too, she replied: “I know I just can’t believe he is doing it!”
Elsewhere in the hidden mic moments, other couples also shared moving words of encouragement with each other.
“You were so good,” Lauren Oakley told JB Gill at one point, with Aljaz Skorjanec telling Tasha Ghouri: “I’ve never felt like that on this floor, like ever,” as they hugged after a dance.
The montage also showed the professionals instructing their partners on certain moves and when to breath.
Oakley yelled “don’t panic,” to her JLS star partner during their routine.

None of the couples wanted to fall at the final hurdle, but it ended up being Towie star Pete Wicks and partner Jowita Przystal who were eliminated from the show.
After their elimination, Przystal took to Instagram to share her feelings and was full of admiration for Wicks as she began: “This past 13 weeks were so special to me.”
Gushing with praise for Wicks, she wrote: “Your hard work, commitment and passion is absolutely remarkable.”
In the lengthy tribute, Przystal recalled memories and repeatedly praised the TOWIE star’s progression as a dancer and his performances.
She told Wicks, who had not had any dance training before appearing on the show, that he was “exactly what Strictly Come Dancing is about”.
“I was teaching you how to dance… but you taught me so much more,” the 30-year-old wrote.
