Eamonn Holmes admits he ‘didn’t have fun’ on The Weakest Link as he takes swipe at ‘feisty’ celebrity opponent
GB News host Eamonn Holmes made a celebrity appearance on The Weakest link this weekend, and found himself in hot water with one of his fellow contestants.
The episode saw Eamonn competing alongside other celebrities including radio personality Arielle Free, Spice Girl Mel B, Morning Live chef Briony May Williams, and former Coronation Street actress Shobna Gulati.
Speaking about his experience on GB News, Eamonn revealed the show left him feeling slightly uncomfortable.
He said: “I was The Weakest Link after an hour and a half of the programme.”
Host Ellie Costello said: “You were actually the strongest link in two rounds weren’t you? Did you have fun?”
Eamonn responded: “No. It was very nerve wracking.”

Ellie said: “Did they gang up on you? Do they immediately identify who the strongest person is?”
Eamonn explained: “They just vote you out. It’s amazing. All the young people vote for each other, right? And all the old people vote for each other. And there are more young people than old people.”
During one crucial round, both Eamonn and Mel B answered questions incorrectly, marking them as potential ‘Weakest Links’.
The voting process led to a split decision, with Mel B receiving votes from Eamonn, Robert Bent and Shobna Gulati.
Gulati ultimately chose to eliminate the former Spice Girls star from the competition.
The decision prompted an immediate reaction from Mel B, who contested her exit when questioned by host Romesh Ranganathan.
“Well, I did get one right,” Mel B retorted, adding: “Eamonn got two wrong.”
Eamonn quickly challenged her claim, responding: “Did I? I demand a VAR decision on that!””
“Well he took a long time. You took a long time to give your answers, you took up a lot of time!” she insisted.
When host Romesh asked if she held any grievances against the GB News star, the singer simply replied, “a lot”.
Reflecting on the clash Eamonn joked: “One of the reasons why she was thrown off was because she obviously couldn’t count. She is very competitive. Feisty.”
