ITV The Masked Singer fans convinced Teeth is classic British sitcom star: ‘Got to be!’
The Masked Singer continued on Saturday night, with Dressed Crab, Kingfisher, Snail, Tattoo and Teeth taking to the stage hoping to keep deceiving the judges.
As a fresh round of songs were performed, with a few clues offered to the panel and audience, fans tuned in began to come up with more theories as to who could be in disguise. Teeth got viewers talking, with many believing they could be a classic British comedian.
Prior to taking to the stage once again on Saturday’s show, Teeth shared some cryptic clues with the judging panel, and some thought they pointed towards Dawn French.
Fans watching from home also had their detective hats on, with many landing on the same theory.
Writing on X, one penned: “Teeth is Dawn French #maskedsinger #maskedsingeruk.”
“Teeth has gotta [be] Dawn French #maskedsinger,” a second agreed.
“I thought Dawn French before that tea with the vicar clue #MaskedSingerUK #maskedsinger,” another shared.
A fourth asked: “Dawn French? #TheMaskedSinger,” with one more echoing: “Dawn French #MaskedSinger.”
Others had other theories though, with one posting: “Teeth is Stacey Solomon! Sounds just like her! #MaskedSinger.” (sic)
Comedian and actress French, 67, starred in several popular sitcoms throughout the 1980s and ’90s, including The Vicar of Dibley, which fans thought some of the clues alluded to.
Meanwhile, the elimination ended up pitting Tattoo against Dressed Crab.
The judges faced a tricky decision after both gave impressive second performances, putting up a fight to stay in the ITV competition.
However, Tattoo was the one who ended up being unmasked as 1980s pop band T’Pau star, Carol Decker.
After finally revealing themselves, Decker joked to judge Jonathan Ross: “You should know me!”
