ITV Limitless Win viewers fume couple on Ant and Dec show ‘don’t deserve money’ following ‘unnecessary’ move
Ant and Dec’s Limitless Win continued on Saturday, and this week’s couple Karis and Tim sparked some fury over what was deemed an “easy” question.
It came as the couple, who ended up with an impressive streak of correct answers, seemed to stumble and “overcomplicate” questions with their strategy.
In the latest episode, which aired on January 18, the two A&E nurses were asked: “How many words are there in the NATO phonetic alphabet?”
To work it out, Karis began going through each word used in the phonetic alphabet, which eventually prompted the duo to come to the correct answer of 26.
However, fans were left baffled as they quickly pointed out the contestants could have just said the number of letters in the standard alphabet.
“That’s a very easy start – why she trying to remember letters?” one asked on X.
“Was counting the letters in the alphabet really necessary?” another wondered, with one more adding: “26 letters – 26 words.”
Another fan harshly shared: “Anyone who takes that long to work out how many letters there are in the alphabet doesn’t deserve the money.”
“I swear the contestants on #limitlesswin just over think every question,” another complained.
“Why the f*** were they counting? It’s the alphabet! Confused the s*** out of me then. #Limitlesswin,” a sixth posted.
“Why make it complicated and list them all? just do the alphabet #LimitlessWin,” another echoed.
However, viewers also applauded the couple for reaching a staggering £50,000 win in the end, with one writing: “Great amount of money to go away with #limitlesswin.” (sic)
The couple’s stint on the show almost took up the whole hour, which also sparked some annoyance from viewers, who wondered why a new set of players were brought on for only five minutes.
After starting their round, new couple Arg and Charlotte were told they’d run out of time just one question in, and would have to continue during the next episode.
It comes after last week’s episode left viewers furious after couple Richard and Lorna almost lost £250,000.
The returning couple, who had already secured £30,000 from a previous appearance, sparked some backlash towards the ITV show after their answer was deemed incorrect by hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.

They were asked: “In metres, how long is the electrical cable on a standard Henry vacuum cleaner?”
The pair eventually came to the conclusion the answer was between eight and 10 metres, and were soon informed the correct answer was 10 metres, costing them two lives and the chance to bank £250,000.
Viewers quickly took to social media platform X to express their outrage, sharing supposed evidence that suggested both answers could be correct, including screenshots from Henry packaging.
“Interesting. Google has the henry cable at 8.4m. Interesting for £250k,” wrote one viewer.
